Images of The Incarnation

There is no exact parallel in nature to the Incarnation of the Second Divine Person, but there are some comparisons which partially represent it; and these may be used cautiously, if we remember that they are not adequate images of it.   Pages 226 & 227

The Blessed Virgin has, beyond all others, the office of intercessor for all mankind, and channel of grace from her Divine Son. 

You too have to act on Gods behalf for the natural or spiritual welfare of others, as His agent, mediator, or temporal providence. Endeavour to make yourself an adequate representative of Him, and act in His spirit and for His ends.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Assumption

 

This is the most ancient and solemn of Mary's feasts. After a most blessed death Mary was triumphantly assumed into heaven with soul and body and was crowned Queen of Heaven by her own Son. Unite your joy and gratitude with that of the angels and saints in heaven as well as that of the Church upon earth, for it is your Heavenly Mother's Coronation Day. How well did she deserve this immortal crown! She crushed the serpent's head. She offered herself and her beloved Son unto death for the redemption of mankind. She triumphed over the world and the devil. Pray that Mary may reign as Queen in your heart and in the hearts of all people. Pray to her for the grace of final perseverance in good and a happy death. 

V. Pray for us, Queen of the heavens.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. 

PRAYER

May the prayer of the Mother of God help Your people, O Lord, and though we know that she passed from this life as every mortal must, meuy we feel her intercession for us before You in heavenly glory Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Restitution by Jesus Christ

"Where sin abounded grace hath abounded more" (Rom. V. 20). The weakness of humanity is its strength: its disabilities become the source of its privileges. God in His mercy pities our weakness, extending as it does even into wickedness; and, like tender mothers, He bestows greater love and care on the most afflicted and troublesome of His children.
