The misery of humanity is in some cases alleviated by wealth, and disguised by the pomp and dignity that some acquire. But Our Lord will have none of these. He will be superior to none, so that all may recognize Him as their brother.

The Christmas Star photo was taken in the wee hours of the morning December 23rd, 2020 by Sue Blackmer Thompson.
Originally from Holstein, Iowa, Sue was the daughter of Ivan Blackmer, a Star Basketball player for the University of Iowa in the 1930s. Sue and her two sisters inherited their dads hand on the ball and became legends in their own right.
We are grateful to count Sue and her husband Jim among our closest friends.
